Happy New Year Everyone!! As I write this blog, our two youngest dogs, bess and Sherman are teeth gnashing (kind of like two T-Rexs' playing). Lots of lovely noise emits from the two critters as they clash-gnash their teeth: click-teeth, chortle and elevate to whines, growl-snuffles, and sneezing! Sherman is on his back and Bess is looming over him: the room is filled with a slightly musty wet dog aroma...ahh, the new year is here and so much to look forward to--like bathing these two!

A few more terms for your information:

Erasernub: the dry texture of the lower rim of the dog jowl when the pooch is parched.

Drench: jowls infused with water.

Fluidity: the active streaming of copious amounts of liquid from the drooping crevice-corner of jowls, usually immediately after the dog drinks or arises out of a body of water. When this fluidity state occurs indoors the dog owner must immediately wipe the floor surface to ensure no injury to any unsuspecting person walking along that surface.

  1. Becca I love your blog about the enticing wonders of the jowl.
I can certainly see how dear Shermy’s ‘curtains’ have inspired you; for they are rather majestic and alluring.

It’s too bad the Jowl Wipes idea was already used by someone.
We could always get the rights to this idea-

Jowl Redolence: A soothingly pungent spray used on the interior edges of the jowl. This unique spray will leave the canine’s breath and jowl drippings with a seductive smell that will send both canine and canine-lover into a dreamy state of jowl bliss.

    Can’t wait for more Jowlvana!
